Eat like you live here.
Grass, weather, and thirty years of one family's work — turned into food worth driving out of the city for. Pastured chicken, Miniature Hereford beef, and eggs.
This land was passed down to us. Food raised responsibly is how we share it and show our appreciation.
Sixty-five acres in South Haven that our family has worked for over thirty years — one of us grew up on this land, carrying tools while the farmstead went up. We're the second generation to run it, and we didn't buy our way in. We inherited the work.
You might not be able to move out here but you can visit and eat like you did — and every order keeps a small Minnesota farm doing it the slow way that's responsible.

Nothing on this farm weighs the same twice, so nothing here carries a fake fixed price. You hold your spot; the number is settled when you pick it up.
Reserve
Tell us what you want. $150 holds a beef share; chicken can either be purchased or reserved for the following pasture season.
They call you
For beef, the processor calls to go through your cuts — thickness, packaging, roasts, ground. Chicken gets a batch date and a pickup window if we are out.
Pick it up
You pick your beef up at our local processor and pay them there. Chicken and eggs come from the farm or the market. Bring a cooler.
Miniature Herefords, chosen on purpose.
Our cattle are a carefully chosen herd — every animal finishing this year has spent time in this pasture. We chose Miniature Herefords deliberately: hardy, gentle to work around, bred for health and disposition alongside taste. Smaller animals mean steaks sized for a dinner plate and a share that fits a real family's freezer.
The birds get the same deal. Chickens live outside on grass, moved to fresh ground, processed right here on the farm in small batches. No growth hormones, no routine antibiotics — animals with room to move rarely need the shortcut.
