Rotational grazing is a type of sustainable, pasture–based farming that benefits the environment, animals, and farmers. It involves moving animals around a field in a managed rotation to ensure that they have access to fresh, nutritious grass and that the land is not overgrazed. This method of animal husbandry is beneficial because it helps to protect the soil, reduces water runoff, and increases biodiversity. Rotationally grazed beef is also healthier and more nutritious than grain–fed beef, as the cows are allowed to graze on fresh grass, which is naturally high in vitamins and minerals. Additionally, the animals are not exposed to growth hormones or antibiotics, making for a healthier, tastier product.
